syzbot tried to test the proposed patch but the build/boot failed:

failed to apply patch:
checking file mm/kasan/kasan_test.c
Hunk #1 FAILED at 783.
1 out of 1 hunk FAILED
checking file mm/slab_common.c
Hunk #1 succeeded at 1335 (offset 2 lines).
Hunk #2 succeeded at 1407 (offset 2 lines).
Hunk #3 succeeded at 1415 with fuzz 1 (offset -12 lines).
Hunk #4 succeeded at 1435 (offset -12 lines).
