Subject: [ath9k-devel] AR9280 and AR5418 not working on 5880 MHz

Hi!

Although the frequency is not officially supported, maybe someone can give
me a hint why the tx hangs when operating at 5880 MHz. Operation at 5875 MHz
and at 5885 MHz, as well as all other necessary frequencies, is fine. Is
there a bug in the synthesizer-setting for this special frequency? I can't
believe in a silicon-bug.

You can actually tune the frequency, and sometimes even transmit or receive
some frames. Tuning to another frequency after that results in permanent tx
hangs and chip resets. The only way to escape this is to reload the driver,
which seems to do something to cure the situation.

Best regards,

Robert
