I posted [1] a note to linux-hams, but it was so much so I did only a 'Design problem in convers daemon" mail. (I would not run any of these conversd packages even as UID guest) But, Thomas have done a great job to fix up the security with the conversd-saupp code, so I recommend strongly all to use conversd-saupp instead of any other package.
