Subject: 2.4.20-pre5-ac1: IDE DMA problem with Intel D845GVB, resource collisions
Date: 30 Aug 2002 22:42:49 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1030740179.391.25.camel@sunshine> (raw)
Hi!
I have a DMA problem with Intel D845GVB chipset. I use the latest BIOS
for this mainboard (29.08.2002). I try with 2.4.20-pre5-ac1,
2.4.20-pre4, but does not work.
#hdparm -c 1 -d1 -m16 -X69 -k 1 /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
setting 32-bit I/O support flag to 1
setting multcount to 16
setting using_dma to 1 (on)
HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted
setting keep_settings to 1 (on)
setting xfermode to 69 (UltraDMA mode5)
multcount = 16 (on)
I/O support = 1 (32-bit)
using_dma = 0 (off)
keepsettings = 1 (on)
(2.4.20-pre4)
