Subject: Need some help understanding Gnome
Date: Tue, 27 May 2003 23:28:34 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1054092514.4635.4.camel@jayhawk> (raw)

Newbies and Non-newbies,

I need some help with Gnome under RH 9.0. I'm trying to figure out what
exactly is being executed when I right-click on the desktop background,
select disks->CD-ROM.

I'm also trying to figure out what directory/directories gnome looks in
for determining it's menu structure. Is there a nice utility out there
to modify the gnome menu structure easily?

Does anybody know how Gnome decides to ruun metacity instead of some
other window-manager such as sawfish?

If anyone knows of a good gnoem reference that puts the whole picture
together that would be great. I'm trying to understand the way
everything works.

Thanks,
	Josh
