I like this proposal: the information I'm looking for is along the lines
of "we have new hardware using CPU X, Flash Y and Ethernet Z".  What
code should we copy & modify?  It's not just what boards support X, Y,
Z: that information is availble by using find/grep.  It's what boards do
things the "right" way, and which ones are older/hackier/more hardcoded.
