I am using APM (compiled in the kernel). I think this has something to do with the wireless card/pcmcia as it happens only when I have my wireless card(Orinoco) connected and on before put to sleep. In absense of wireless card, there is no panic. Just before panic, I see lots of messages scroll up followed by message, Bad Scheduling in Interrupts! and then Panic. Surprisingly I don't have anything in my syslog/messages. oops written by hand from the terminal.
