I have read up a few posting on this error off of Google. I cannot say
why I cannot start dosemu beyond it cannot find my freedos installation.
I am running 1.1.99.1 on a Gentoo 1.4 system. The variable _hmimage is
set to "drives/*". In my .dosemu/drives directory I have:
bash-2.05b$ ls drives/* -l
lrwxr-xr-x 1 storri wheel 32 Jan 10 20:21 drives/c ->
/usr/share/dosemu/
The contents of /usr/share/dosemu are:
bash-2.05b$ ls -l /usr/share/dosemu
total 1068
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 12:28 Xfonts
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 Oct 16 12:28 commands ->
freedos/dosemu
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 562 Oct 16 12:28 dosemu-bin.tgz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1072238 Oct 16 12:28
dosemu-freedos-bin.tgz
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Oct 6 23:14 freedos
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 12:28 keymap
The contents of /usr/share/freedos is:
bash-2.05b$ ls -l /usr/share/dosemu/freedos/
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 16 12:28 dosemu
In /usr/share/dosemu/freedos/dosemu are all the commands. What do I need
to change in order to get dosemu to start?
Stephen
