Subject: Trying to get sound, I did RTFM
Date: Wed, 21 Apr 2004 18:26:28 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1082589988.12858.9.camel@Backfoot> (raw)
I am new to dosemu and am using it simply to play Sid Meier's
Colonization. I am running Gentoo Linux, 2.6.6-rc1 kernel, and have a SB
Live! PCI card set up to use ALSA and OSS emulation.
But no matter what I do, I can't seem to get Colonization to make any
sound. I have uncommented the lines in /etc/dosemu.conf leaving
everything at the deafult (except for turning on sound emulation) and
have set the BLASTER envirnomnet variable in dosemu using all 6 "T"
options. It still makes no sound. I've also tried the tips in the sound
documentation for using midid and I can't get music either. I'd really
appreciate help.
If you need the program to test, it can be downloaded here:

Thanks in advance!
~Christopher
