They are certain to get a flood of hatemail from Linux users. My suggestion was that someone on this list might want to be the voice of reason and offer to write a closed source ALSA driver, under NDA, for reasonable compensation of course. I can't see why they would say no, unless they are already working on one. Maybe if they set a precedent that the Linux audio community are not all RMS worshipping zealots then we would have more supported hardware.
