Great. This patch mostly solved the problem. Now I have all the columns
right and the screen shows no corruption.

I still get some minor corruption during screen redrawing (each time a
line is added), small white dots vertically aligned. When redrawing is
finished the screen is ok.

Using X this corruption is more frequent and constantly visible.

Setting mclk and xclk to 100 doesn't make any visible difference.
Attached you can find the last dmesg and fbset -i output. Still the
difference with the original 2.6.8 output is 'hsync high' missing. Don't
know if this makes sense to you.
