Yes, I'm using u-boot with au1550 - although based on 1.1.1, not current
CVS. The relevant modifications should be in CVS, though.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to any db1550 boards any more, so I
am unable to verify that code just now. Will continue _that_ discussion
in a different thread.
