I have tried the current (from about 6 hours ago) drivers+lib from the HG repository.
My card is now labelled as an ALC 268, and shows me what appears to be a correct number of options in the mixer.
Unfortunately, I still get no sound.
I've compiled the driver with --debug=full, and the lib with the debug.
The following is from dmesg when I removed the old snd-hda-intel module, did a make install, then did modprobe snd-hda-intel: (I cleared out dmesg before I did the modprobe)
