Subject: register_blkdev: cannot get major 8 for sd
Date: Mon, 17 Oct 2005 08:26:36 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1129551996.3496.83.camel@pluto.linsolutions.com> (raw)

register_blkdev: cannot get major 8 for sd

The above message is very misleading, I would say approx 90% of the time
I see it my domU's have no problem.

All of the recent changesets appear to be the same.

This testing is being done an a UP Dell P330, dom0 and domU are all
Centos 4.1, SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AIC-7892A U160/m (rev 02),
with logical volumes being used for everything but /boot.

Regards,
Ted
