Subject: [U-Boot-Users] Exception occurs while uncompressing linux kernel
Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2007 11:54:40 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <11405.1182268480@magma.ca> (raw)

Sometimes while uncompressing the kernel image (gunzip), an illegal instruction program exception occurs. U-boot displays the registers, reboots, and usually doesn't have any problems loading the kernel. I'm having a hard time debugging the cause since the problem is intermittent. Has anyone experienced this? Is it due to a problem with the RAM? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Farrah.
