Do you have a getty running on hvc0?

/proc/xen is now a filesystem mount point, make sure you have
CONFIG_XENFS and CONFIG_XEN_COMPAT_XENFS and add to /etc/fstab:
none /proc/xen xenfs defaults 0 0
