No. compat-wireless requires 2.6.27 and compat-wireless-old requires 2.6.22, as stated at http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download You may have better chances with MadWifi trunk, which supports some of the devices supported by ath9k and requires Linux 2.4.22.
