Ok, you'd be a good person to ask:
http://wiki.qemu.org/Testing doesn't have a s390 test image.
There are Debian for s390 CD images and instruction how to install them
on real hardware (http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/s390/) and
under hercules
(http://www.josefsipek.net/docs/s390-linux/hercules-s390.html and
http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/484) but nothing about
how to do it with qemu.
Is there an easy way to try this?
Thanks,
Rob
