Subject: Patch "nosave: consolidate __nosave_{begin,end} in <asm/sections.h>" has been added to the 3.10-stable tree
Date: Mon, 04 May 2015 23:38:18 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <14307754985729@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
nosave: consolidate __nosave_{begin,end} in <asm/sections.h>
to the 3.10-stable tree which can be found at:
http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary
The filename of the patch is:
nosave-consolidate-__nosave_-begin-end-in-asm-sections.h.patch
and it can be found in the queue-3.10 subdirectory.
If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree,
please let <stable@vger.kernel.org> know about it.

Subject: nosave: consolidate __nosave_{begin,end} in <asm/sections.h>
From: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>
commit 7f8998c7aef3ac9c5f3f2943e083dfa6302e90d0 upstream.
The different architectures used their own (and different) declarations:
extern __visible const void __nosave_begin, __nosave_end;
extern const void __nosave_begin, __nosave_end;
extern long __nosave_begin, __nosave_end;
Consolidate them using the first variant in <asm/sections.h>.
