Subject: patch "iio: twl4030-madc: Pass the IRQF_ONESHOT flag" added to staging-linus
Date: Thu, 23 Jul 2015 13:33:03 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1437683583124109@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
iio: twl4030-madc: Pass the IRQF_ONESHOT flag
to my staging git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git
in the staging-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: iio: twl4030-madc: Pass the IRQF_ONESHOT flag
Since commit 1c6c69525b40 ("genirq: Reject bogus threaded irq requests")
threaded IRQs without a primary handler need to be requested with
IRQF_ONESHOT, otherwise the request will fail.
So pass the IRQF_ONESHOT flag in this case.
The semantic patch that makes this change is available
in scripts/coccinelle/misc/irqf_oneshot.cocci.
