Subject: patch "tty: Fix tty_send_xchar() lock order inversion" added to tty-linus
Date: Fri, 20 Nov 2015 16:21:00 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <144806526014794@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
tty: Fix tty_send_xchar() lock order inversion
to my tty git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/tty.git
in the tty-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: tty: Fix tty_send_xchar() lock order inversion
The correct lock order is atomic_write_lock => termios_rwsem, as
established by tty_write() => n_tty_write().
Fixes: c274f6ef1c666 ("tty: Hold termios_rwsem for tcflow(TCIxxx)")
