The latest kernel we have tested with is 4.4.6. SPDK doesn't depend on many kernel interfaces so it will likely work on 4.5 with no modifications, but I can't guarantee it.

Per http://www.ostechnix.com/install-linux-kernel-4-5-centos-ubuntu/
Ubuntu 16.04’s kernel can be updated from 4.4.0-7 generic to 4.5.
Will this latest kernel work with the current SPDK release ?
