This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    serial: 8250: added acces i/o products quad and octal serial cards

to the 4.4-stable tree which can be found at:

The filename of the patch is:
     serial-8250-added-acces-i-o-products-quad-and-octal-serial-cards.patch
and it can be found in the queue-4.4 subdirectory.

that make use of existing Pericom PI7C9X7954 and PI7C9X7958
configurations .
