This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    ALSA: timer: Fix leak in events via snd_timer_user_ccallback

to the 3.18-stable tree which can be found at:
    http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary

The filename of the patch is:
     alsa-timer-fix-leak-in-events-via-snd_timer_user_ccallback.patch
and it can be found in the queue-3.18 subdirectory.

If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree,

The stack object “r1” has a total size of 32 bytes. Its field
“event” and “val” both contain 4 bytes padding. These 8 bytes
padding bytes are sent to user without being initialized.
