The patch below does not apply to the 4.15-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit

Subject: [PATCH] staging: ccree: handle end of sg list gracefully
If we are asked for number of entries of an offset bigger than the
sg list we should not crash.
