Subject: patch "misc: mic/scif: fix copy-paste error in scif_create_remote_lookup" added to char-misc-linus
Date: Tue, 27 Nov 2018 09:02:04 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <15433057243547@kroah.com> (raw)

This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    misc: mic/scif: fix copy-paste error in scif_create_remote_lookup

to my char-misc git tree which can be found at
    git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/char-misc.git
in the char-misc-linus branch.

The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)

The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.

If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: misc: mic/scif: fix copy-paste error in scif_create_remote_lookup

gcc '-Wunused-but-set-variable' warning:

drivers/misc/mic/scif/scif_rma.c: In function 'scif_create_remote_lookup':
drivers/misc/mic/scif/scif_rma.c:373:25: warning:
variable 'vmalloc_num_pages' set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable]

'vmalloc_num_pages' should be used to determine if the address is
within the vmalloc range.
