"Arbeitsverzeichnis leer" means
"working directory empty" which is obviously wrong.
It should say
"Arbeitsverzeichnis sauber"

Nichts zum Einreichen, Arbeitsverzeichnis leer
wr@s5:~/src/linux$ LANG=C git status
# On branch drm-intel-testing
