Subject: patch "debugfs: Fix module state check condition" added to driver-core-linus
Date: Fri, 04 Sep 2020 18:13:06 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1599235986247174@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
debugfs: Fix module state check condition
to my driver-core git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core.git
in the driver-core-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: debugfs: Fix module state check condition
The '#ifdef MODULE' check in the original commit does not work as intended.
The code under the check is not built at all if CONFIG_DEBUG_FS=y. Fix this
by using a correct check.
Fixes: 275678e7a9be ("debugfs: Check module state before warning in {full/open}_proxy_open()")
