Subject: patch "driver core: auxiliary bus: Fix memory leak when driver_register()" added to driver-core-linus
Date: Wed, 21 Jul 2021 16:54:02 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1626879242215223@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
driver core: auxiliary bus: Fix memory leak when driver_register()
to my driver-core git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core.git
in the driver-core-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: driver core: auxiliary bus: Fix memory leak when driver_register()
fail
If driver_register() returns with error we need to free the memory
allocated for auxdrv->driver.name before returning from
__auxiliary_driver_register()
