The patch below does not apply to the 5.10-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit

Subject: [PATCH] spi: fsi: Reduce max transfer size to 8 bytes

Security changes have forced the SPI controllers to be limited to
8 byte reads. Refactor the sequencing to just handle 8 bytes at a
time.
