Subject: patch "arch_topology: Do not set llc_sibling if llc_id is invalid" added to driver-core-linus
Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2022 19:00:36 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <16504740365544@kroah.com> (raw)

This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    arch_topology: Do not set llc_sibling if llc_id is invalid

to my driver-core git tree which can be found at
    git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core.git
in the driver-core-linus branch.

The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)

The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.

If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: arch_topology: Do not set llc_sibling if llc_id is invalid

When ACPI is not enabled, cpuid_topo->llc_id = cpu_topo->llc_id = -1, which
will set llc_sibling 0xff(...), this is misleading.

Don't set llc_sibling(default 0) if we don't know the cache topology.
