So when I'm on batteries, I do a: echo -n 1 > /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRC/cooling_mode echo -n 1 > /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRS/cooling_mode which is indeed reflected in the corresponding files when I cat them. However, this does not seem to change anything. I'm obviously missing something, but what is it?
