What exactly should I compare? This is 3.18 - so it is definitely not the 
mainstream Linux version of the patches but most likely your own codeaurora 
fork with the 2k or 4k patchbomb.

But I've tried your bootargs. These broke the earlyprintk and didn't boot with 
v4.7-rc3. So the difference here doesn't seem to be the fdt load address.
