Subject: [dpdk-dev] [dpdk-announce] release candidate 20.02-rc2
Date: Thu, 06 Feb 2020 23:33:54 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <17567942.jiFIW2sfyF@xps> (raw)

A new DPDK release candidate is ready for testing:
	https://git.dpdk.org/dpdk/tag/?id=v20.02-rc2
226 patches were integrated.

The release notes so far:
	http://doc.dpdk.org/guides/rel_notes/release_20_02.html

Highlights of 20.02-rc2:
	- ABI check tooling
	- Mellanox vDPA driver
	- Marvell OCTEON TX2 inline IPsec
	- synchronous CPU crypto API
	- CPU crypto based on new libraries (intel-ipsec-mb and AArch64cryptolib)
	- reverted Chacha20-Poly1305 algorithm (because of ABI issue)
	- event mode in l3fwd example

The -rc3 should include only some bug fixes, simple cleanups, doc
and tooling. We have one week to complete this milestone.
Then one more week (allowing -rc4) should be needed before the release.
The schedule is shifting a bit to let more time to Chinese contributors.

Thank you everyone
