Confirmed, broken on MIPS in the trunk (rev. 5478): 

# qemu-system-mips -M malta -cpu 24Kc ... 

/qemu/trunk/tcg/tcg.c:1484: tcg fatal error
Aborted


The same command works OK in "Debian GNU/Linux's Repository version",
0.9.1-6 .
