Subject: alphabetical directory sorts
Date: Sat, 4 May 2002 09:24:29 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20020504142429.GD8384@robotattack.com> (raw)

Unlike my ext2 filesystem, listings of my reiserfs volume don't come
through alphabetically.

Is there a way to force reiserfs to output alphabetical directory
listings?

Many applications assume that lists will be alphabetical, and don't
sort file open dialogs, resulting in a painful amount of hunting for
files.

Similarly, adding directories of files in MP3 players, etc means that
the list must then be manually sorted in order to get the tracks in
order.
