Subject: Strangness in debug and sylog: @@@@@@@@@
Date: Wed, 29 May 2002 14:44:01 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <200205291444.AA100794664@wcox.com> (raw)

This is kinkd of iteresting? My Debian "woody" locked up tighter
than a drum while connected to my ISP, and I had to power cycle it?

Debug and syslog had this in it:

May 29 14:32:36 dabean pppd[1667]: rcvd [LCP EchoRep id=0x7 magic=0x678a818c]
^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@
^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@
^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^

Any ideas what this means, and where else can I look pin point the cause.

David
