Is the deb system as easy and as convenient as rpm ? I found rpm to be easy and convenient for about one month... After two years with it I can't bare with it any more. This is the main reason for my own switch to Debian. I find slackwares tgz format to be much more convenient and easy to use than rpm. I'm not qualified to answer this question yet, but I think that you will find more persons that are if you go to www.debian.org, and subscribe to the mailing list: debian-user.
