Subject: blacklisting policy wrt pci routing
Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2002 19:31:46 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20020920193146.A6536@brodo.de> (raw)
Hi Andrew, list;
In current 2.4.20-pre7-patch blacklist.c:
{"ASUS\0\0", "P2B-S ", 0, ACPI_DSDT, all_versions, "Bogus PCI routing", 1},
{"COMPAQ", "DSDT", 0, ACPI_DSDT, all_versions, "Bogus PCI routing", 1},
If PCI routing doesn't work, I'd suggest _not_ to fail as "non-recoverable
error". There are some other ACPI features that work well even without PCI
routing. So I'd suggest to set "use_acpi_pci" to zero in
arch/i386/kernel/pci-pc.c instead.
Dominik
