Dselect is useful but it has a very odd interface. Aptitude is somewhat
more friendly and does some of the same things, though it doesnt have
all of dselect's features, I used to use it until I got more used to
dselect. For apt-get there is a GUI front-end synaptic you might also
want to take a look at, though I like to use apt-cache to search and
then apt-get to install, since apt-get is quite easy to use.
