RAID is a clever construction of more than one HDD to achieve better speed or to protect against dieing(sp?) disks. Multihomed disks are HDDs (typically SCSI or fibre channel) which are connected to two (or more) computers to protect the admin from dead computers. (So this is RAIC - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Computers :-) instead of RAID - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks.
