Hello All,

I'm keen to at least listen to some of the satellites that are transmitting
9600 baud packets. Since I can't compile soundmodem .7, because of missing
header files, and version .4 compiles but no longer receives after an upgrade
to Mandrake 9.0 I thought I go the hardware route.

Although the cost of the YAM is considerably less than a TNC it is still more
that I'd like to spend. However, I will go ahead if it's likely to work.

Has anyone got YAM working with Mandrake 9.0 and what are the likely problems
that I may face?

I have a home-built Baycom style modem that has not given me any trouble for
the past 8 years. So perhaps the YAM driver will be just as easy to get
going.
