Hello...

By sheer coincidence I found the patch metioned in the subject in the 
Mailinglist Archives on sourceforge 
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=2844765&forum_id=6102). 
As I have some massive troubles getting ACPI to work on my Asus A7N8X I would 
like to give this patch a try. Unfortunately the patch in the ML archives is 
mangled (whitespace and linebreaks) and is truncated and the authors eMail 
address is truncated too. I am now currently using a forward ported version 
of the 2.4.21 backport of the patch which seems to work more or less. :-/

All devices get assigned an IRQ, which wasn't the case before (only 2 out of 3 
USB ports e.g.). Unfortunately the machine is very prone to lock-ups now, so 
I'd like to give the "original" patch a try, to exclude the possibility of me 
having made an error in "re-forward-porting" the patch.

Could someone (the original author?) be so kind to mail the patch to me, or 
give an URL, where I can find a working (i.e. non mangled) version of the 
patch? 
As a side note: Is it possible to apply the patch to 2.6.0-test2 instead of 
2.5.75 or are there any reasons not to do so (other than failing hunks which 
have to applied "by hand")?
