Step 1: release 2.8.1.
Step 2: build patch(es) for inclusion into linux 2.4.23.
Step 3: contact kernel people for inclusion of the patch(es).

Step 1 is for Phil, step 2 is for me, step 3 is for Greg and me.

To say the truth, I am waiting for Phil to release 2.8.1 for weeks...
