Subject: unexpected IO-APIC report
Date: Tue, 7 Oct 2003 10:05:41 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20031007100541.P4807@kudzuforest.com> (raw)
I have noticed that the 2.4.21 kernel generate the message
An unexpected IO-APIC was found. If this kernel release is less than
three months old please report this to linux-smp@vger.kernel.org
on my new Toshiba P25-S507 laptop. I'm including the dmesg output
from my last boot. Kernel in this case is 2.4.21-0.25mdksmp, a
Mandrake-supplied kernel. I have also used the UP kernel of the
same version, with the same results.
I haven't hand-built my own kernel, because this one does me just
fine and it hasn't been worth the effort. If I can assist in any
type of debugging, let me know.
