No, 2.4.22 does not work either. It has also screen-flickering.

2.6.0 seems to be closest to a working solution.

( CONFIG_FB_ATY, CONFIG_FB_ATY_CT and CONFIG_FB_ATY_XL_INIT switched on,
CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE disabled)
