The reason I ask, is that my Absolutely. Having Mozilla in the root directory just introduces too many unknowns. Better to make things as simple as possible by reinstalling in a default location, like ``/usr/local/mozilla''. By the way, can you tell us where exactly on your machine you can see the Java plugin file(s). On my machine I didn't use the Netscape plugins page but rather got the Java Runtime Environment + Software Development Kit from Sun. So I don't know exactly what happens when someone does get the Java plugin from the Netscape plugins page.
