Thanks for the explanation, and now I see it as to why this'd done at
the fs level. I guess my mind's got numbed by traditional filesystems,
and it needs to be enlightened ;)

I also stumbled upon Gnome Storage, at:

If I get it right, they seem to be doing it in user space, what's your
idea on this?
