No, I switched back to proftpd because I needed a working ftp daemon quickly. 
Unfortunately at the present time I can't reinstall vsftpd and do some tests, 
because I'm pretty busy.

The problem never appeared again, though. My machine is up almost 12h a day, 
with a pretty high load. I'm using the latest auto-snapshot against -mm7. 
Apart from this vsftpd problem, thumbs up for reiser4 on my side :)
