Subject: Skype (for Linux)
Date: Wed, 21 Jul 2004 18:06:52 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20040721170652.GC12344@lkcl.net> (raw)

has anyone written an selinux policy for skype at all?

[it's a VoIP phone app, proprietary not open source, but
it's a firewall buster so it doesn't need NAT it uses
forward-TCP/UDP connections into a distributed net to
receive incoming phone calls from randomly selected proxies]

my interest in skype is because it's so incredibly easy for
noddy users: no firewall or router configuration is required.

my _concern_ is for the future, should skype be sold like
kazaa was to a company that put spyware and adware into it.

if someone's started (or done one) i'd be delighted to hear
from you, otherwise i'll be doing one shortly...

l.
